How to draw Mrs. Potts & Chip from Beauty and the Beast

Drawing Mrs. Potts and cute little Chip is easier than you thought! Collect your drawing materials, pour yourself a nice cup of tea and get cozy with Beauty and the Beast instrumentals in the background.

  • Start by drawing the rough shapes of the tea-kettle and the tea-cup on top. Pay attention to the large handle of Mrs. Potts and the shape of the lid on top. The lid on top has a curly decorative border. The teapot and the teacup have a similar bottom.
  • Draw an instructional line across the teapot and the teacup to help you draw the faces of Mrs. Potts and Chip.
  • Draw two large eyes for Mrs. Potts, her nose in the shape of a spout and smiling mouth below.
  • Chip has smaller eyes, a small handle as his nose and a kind, boyish smile underneath.
  • Now you can start filling in your drawing with details. Accentuate the distinguishing features of Mrs. Potts and Chip. Don't forget the 'chip' in the small tea-cup!
  • According to your taste and wishes, you can complete the drawing by adding color to the classic Beauty and the Beast characters. Traditionally, Mrs. Potts and Chip have gold, purple and blue details, but you can choose any color combination you like!

#5 Motivational Disney Quotes to Create a Happily Ever After

Have you ever noticed how our beloved Disney characters deliver the most incredible one-liners? Fairy tales are meant to give us morals worth remembering. Disney classics by no means fail to do so in their magical stories. Here are 5 motivational quotes to inspire you at any time you need some “Faith, Trust and a little bit of Pixie Dust”!

1. "IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHERE YOU WANT TO GO, THEN IT DOESN'T MATTER WHICH PATH YOU TAKE."
THE CHESHIRE CAT - ALICE IN WONDERLAND

Think of your personal growth as a journey from one destination to another. There are infinite possibilities for your end destination. So, how can you know what path to take? The first step to achieve anything is knowing where you are now and where want to go. Because, indeed, if you do not know where it is you want to go, any path will take you there. Here is some advice if you don’t want to keep tumbling down the rabbit hole!

  • What is it that you truly want to achieve? Write down your wish-list of things you wish to be, do or see.
  • How will you make sure you achieve this? Write down 3 small habits you will do daily, weekly and monthly to make your dreams come true.
  • Finally, how will you stay on track? Write down how you will remind yourself to perform your new habits every day. Also think about how you will reward yourself once you have completed your objectives! Perhaps a little Disney marathon?

2. "OH YES, THE PAST CAN HURT. BUT THE WAY I SEE IT, YOU CAN EITHER RUN FROM IT OR LEARN FROM IT."
RAFIKI - THE LION KING

Now we have all the ingredients needed to create our own happily ever after!

But why can’t we make it work? Sometimes we are held back by things that have happened in our past. We start to believe that we are not good enough, not brave enough, or not strong enough to live our fairy tale.

Living a problem-free life without worries means making peace with your past. Stop running away from it and learn to let it go, but don’t forget the lessons you learned.

3. "YOU'RE BRAVER THAN YOU BELIEVE, AND STRONGER THAN YOU SEEM, AND SMARTER THAN YOU THINK."
WINNIE THE POOH - POOH'S MOST GRAND ADVENTURE

Little Pooh bear says it all. Remember the time you did something unbelievable? Yes, that time! The story when YOU were the brave, strong or smart one. That story is proof that Winnie the Pooh is right. You have much more in store than you know! You have more than it takes to write your own happy ending. So…, what are you waiting for? Pick up your pen and start (re)writing your storybook!

4. “EVEN MIRACLES TAKE A LITTLE TIME.”
THE FAIRY GODMOTHER – CINDERELLA

The Fairy Godmother’s magical miracles really did take just a little time in Cinderella‘s story.

But not all of us have a magic wand hidden away to perform our miracles. Books aren’t written overnight. Creating new habits takes time, effort and patience. And miracles rarely happen without obstacles. So, be patient, diligent and disciplined when working on your miracles. You won’t need a magic wand or a fairy godmother to create miracles. You’ll see!

5. "THE FLOWER THAT BLOOMS IN ADVERSITY IS THE MOST RARE AND BEAUTIFUL OF ALL."
THE EMPORER – MULAN

Just like diamonds are formed under extreme pressures and high temperatures, we also transform under extreme conditions. When our boundaries are tested and we are faced with adversity in life, we transform for better or for worse – depending on how well we can cope. Keep having faith and never give up, and you will find yourself to be the most rare and beautiful cherry blossom of all!
